Chinhoyi Caves or as they call them, “pool of the fallen “are a group caves situated about 9 kilometers north -west of the town Chinhoyi in the Mashonaland west Administrative Province. The walls of the wonder hole drop vertically down for 150 feet to the sleeping pool in which adrenaline junkies normally use for Scuba diving. The pool is unbelievably blue and crystal clear which reflects great depth non flowing water. The local name for the caves pool, Chirorodziva comes from an incident that occurred in 1888, where members of the Angonni tribe attacked the local people and threw their victims into the cave to dispose of them.
